Recording multiple channels on single TV card

Digital TV signals usually have multiple channels on one frequency. This means you can record any of these co-located at the same time on one card. Up until now this hasn't been used much in Australia (thanks to some restrictive legislation), but the recent announcements by all the commercial channels of multi-chanelling has prompted me to look into supporting this in RikPVR.

Of course this will be welcome news to all the European users where they seem to use multichannelling far more.

So keep an eye on this blog and the forum for more news on this. Or even better, turn on checking for pre-release versions of RikPVR in the general settings and help test out the feature as it's released.

The core of this is already running so it shouldn't be too long before it makes it into a public beta release.
