I've already mentioned this on the forums but it's time I made a more public announcement - RikPVR version 2.0 is almost complete.
RikPVR 2.0 contains a whole new recording mechanism which lets you record multiple channels on a single tuner. The channels have to be on the same frequency, but many channels are. In Australia this includes the new HD channels and their SD counterparts. In the UK many of the channels are colocated.
We've also added support for reading the TV guide straight from the broadcast. Of course, you can keep using your existing XML-TV sources but if you don't have one you no longer have to search for one.
Version 2.0 also lays the foundations for watching TV through RikPVR. TV viewing won't make it into version 2.0 but it's likely to turn up in the not-too-distant future.
So keep an eye on this blog. 2.0 is already in the hands of some alpha testers and a public beta will be available soon.
